First responders in central Texas have been working around the clock since the devastating and deadly flash flooding began on July 4. To support ongoing recovery efforts, Phillips 66 is making a $250,000 donation to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

“A moment like this speaks directly to our values and who we are as a company. The loss of life and widespread devastation in central Texas affects us all deeply.  We want to reach out to provide comfort and support. The number of employees who have asked how they can assist is a bright spot in this difficult time.”

Mark Lashier, Phillips 66 Chairman and CEO

Supporting our neighbors:

Phillips 66 has Midstream operations in nearby communities and a strong presence across the state of Texas. All personnel are safe and accounted for. In the wake of the disaster, several Midstream employees are already stepping up, volunteering to ensure that first responders have hot meals to keep them going through long hours. We will be tracking other employee volunteer efforts and following up with stories of impact and gratitude as the recovery process continues.

“Texas is a family. Almost everyone I’ve talked to knows someone who is affected by this,” said Courtney Meadows, Phillips 66 Social Impact Manager. “We want to make sure that employees who want to make a personal donation take advantage of our matching gift program to double their impact.”

In addition, our headquarters building will be lit in green this week to honor the lives lost and those affected.

Phillips 66 expands access to lifesaving swim education and resources for children in communities where the company operates.

Phillips 66 has a unique and critical role in fostering a thriving society, and the company’s commitment to swim safety is helping build stronger, safer and more resilient communities.

The company’s locally driven swim safety program provides funding and resources to more than 25 organizations across the United States, including Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, and parks and recreation departments in communities where it operates. The program is in its second year and builds on the company’s long history of supporting swim safety dating back more than half a century.

“At Phillips 66, we always start with safety. It’s a core value and extending it into our local communities through learn-to-swim programs gives children essential lifesaving skills,” said Courtney Meadows, Manager, Phillips 66 Social Impact. “We believe our commitment to this cause is a unique differentiator for Phillips 66 and exemplifies our mission of providing energy and improving lives.”

In Houston, Phillips 66 activates the program through a partnership with Johnnie Means Aquatics (JMA) an organization with the core belief in “a more diverse, inclusive world of aquatics where every child has the opportunity to swim, lead and succeed.”

JMA was founded in 2022, but its inspiration stems back to 1961 when founder and coach Johnnie Means launched an AAU swim team. At that time, public pools were still segregated, and his team opened the doors to more equity and access to the sport. Today, the organization serves beginner and competitive-level swimmers, ages 5-18, across the Greater Houston area, aiming to eliminate the barriers that have traditionally kept families from getting the proper swim instruction and experience they deserve.

In May 2025, Phillips 66 participated in JMA’s fourth-annual International Water Safety Day at Texas Southern University. The event welcomed community members to receive hands-on training on swimming techniques, drowning prevention and CPR.

“At Phillips 66, we have a deep commitment to community well-being,” said Teresa Lopez, Advisor, Phillips 66 Social Impact. “And events like this are so important because we know that drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children ages 1 to 14.”

Phillips 66 is proud to support these local swim safety programs:

Tornado impact: A devastating tornado struck the St. Louis area, heavily damaging communities near Phillips 66 Midstream, Refining and Lubricants facilities.

Community support: Phillips 66 aided storm damage repairs with a $50,000 donation to the neighboring Granite City School District.

On the afternoon of May 16, an EF3 tornado tore a 22.7-mile path through central and northern parts of St. Louis before crossing into Illinois, impacting communities near Phillips 66 facilities in Midstream, Refining and Lubricants. The storm caused widespread destruction — damaging thousands of homes, businesses and buildings — and tragically claimed five lives. The tornado was on the ground for 24 minutes and reached a maximum width of nearly one mile.

Although most Phillips 66 employees were fortunate to avoid significant personal property damage, nearly everyone in the area knows of neighbors, friends or local businesses that were affected. The local Phillips 66 assets were mostly unscathed — only resulting in a localized power outage and some loss of tank insulation at the Wood River Refinery.

One particularly hard-hit community was Granite City, Illinois. While media attention largely focused on the damage within St. Louis, Granite City suffered severe impacts, including damage to multiple schools in the Granite City Community Unit School District #9. At Prather Elementary, the roof of the gymnasium was completely torn off — just days before the end of the school year.

Storm damage at Prather Elementary School, one of the affected schools in the Granite City School District.

Located equidistant from the East St. Louis Terminal and the Wood River Refinery, as well as the Hartford Midstream Terminal and Lubricants Plant, Granite City is not only home to Phillips 66 employees but serves as a key connector community to regional operations.

To support recovery efforts, Phillips 66 is donating $50,000 to the Granite City School District to assist with storm damage repairs and ensure continuity in education.

“On behalf of the entire Granite City Community Unit School District #9, I want to express our profound gratitude to Phillips 66 for their extraordinary generosity,” said Dr. Donald Harris, superintendent of the school district. “The devastating tornado of Friday, May 16, inflicted damage upon Prather Elementary School, and this donation will provide immediate and lasting support to ensure the safety and continuity of our students’ education. Your commitment to our community is truly inspiring.”

With so many communities affected by the storm, identifying a focal point for relief efforts was challenging.

“We know this tornado has impacted many across the region,” said Melissa Erker, Director, Public Affairs, Midwest. “We chose to support Granite City specifically because of its proximity to all of our local assets. It’s a close neighbor and an important part of our operating footprint. At the same time, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) have stepped up to help provide supplies and support across the broader region.

Tracie Bryant, WWR Operator and Black Employee Network (BEN) lead, witnessed the devastation at her church in St. Louis and rallied support from other WWR ERGs. Alongside the BEN, the Women’s Network, New Hire Network and the Veterans Network organized a Tornado Relief Drive, collecting personal hygiene products and cash donations for storm victims.

Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas is advancing its focus on financial readiness, thanks in large part to Phillips 66.

The nonprofit youth organization recently broke ground on the new Phillips 66 JA Discovery Center, a 40,000-square-foot facility that will serve as a hub for youth education and workforce readiness. The new building was made possible by a $5 million cornerstone donation from Phillips 66.

“Education equity is a cornerstone of our social impact strategy,” said Mark Lashier, Chairman and CEO of Phillips 66, during his remarks at the groundbreaking. “We create purposeful partnerships and invest in organizations like Junior Achievement because workforce preparedness is the foundation of individual achievement and our economic future.” Announced in 2023, the Phillips 66 donation represents one of the largest gifts the company has given to a single non-profit organization in its history. The new center will house Junior Achievement’s administrative offices and two of its flagship programs: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park.

We are incredibly grateful for Phillips 66’s investment in the future of young people. Their visionary support enables us to provide students with real-world learning experiences that give students the building blocks that create a pathway to economic opportunity.

Joe Burke, president of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas

JA Finance Park offers a classroom-based curriculum that empowers students to make informed financial decisions and understand the link between education and earning potential. Since launching the second JA BizTown facility in the U.S. in 1999, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas has reached nearly half a million students with its hands-on learning experiences.

“In Houston, there’s no shortage of brilliant minds in underserved communities, just like there is across the population,” Lashier told the Houston Business Journal. “We want to make sure that all kids have a chance to realize their potential.”

Since 2012, Phillips 66 has contributed an additional $2.2 million to Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. The Phillips 66 JA Discovery Center is expected to be completed by December 2025.

The crack of the bat. The roar of the crowd. And now — the whistle of the Phillips 66 Home Run Train.

Phillips 66 is proud to expand its relationship with the Houston Astros as the official sponsor of not just one but two beloved ballpark traditions: the long-standing Home Run Pump and, for the first time, the iconic Home Run Train atop the left-field wall at Daikin Park.

Featuring Bring the Go — the unifying brand platform for the company’s corporate, fuels and lubricants businesses — the Phillips 66 Home Run Train celebrates each Astros home run with unmistakable energy. Meanwhile, the Home Run Pump continues its 22-season tradition of racking up every homer crushed at the ballpark. Together, they offer fans a high-impact, immersive brand experience that’s both exciting and meaningful.

“Sponsorships like these are more than just fun — they’re a strategic investment in visibility and brand impact,” said John Field, Manager, Brand. “The Home Run Pump and Train give us an ownable presence — and a chance to show, through our brand platform, how everything we do every single day helps keep people moving forward. It’s the essence of our mission to provide energy and improve lives.”

Phillips 66 has been the proud sponsor of the Home Run Pump, a retro gas pump that sits atop the wall in the left-center field, for more than two decades. With the addition of the newly branded Home Run Train, this season’s sponsorship elevates the company’s presence in the ballpark and strengthens its connection to fans across Houston and beyond.

Supplier development program sets small businesses “on a trajectory for growth and scale”

Phillips 66 hosted a graduation ceremony for the Blue Wave Supplier Development Program, which helps small businesses meet international standards in the energy industry.

Phillips 66 recently hosted the graduation ceremony for the Blue Wave Supplier Development Program, an American Petroleum Institute and Blue Wave initiative to equip a diverse collection of small businesses with the resources and international standards required to navigate the energy business

“You help us deliver our mission of providing energy and improving lives,” Scott McRee, Phillips 66 vice president of Procurement, told Blue Wave graduates and alumni.

Phillips 66 is one of a number of API member companies to sponsor the Blue Wave Supplier Development Program. The industry group launched the program in 2022.

“The Blue Wave Supplier Development Program equips small businesses with the international standards used by large and complex businesses across industries,” said “Allison Weinberg, Senior Manager, API. “By completing this program, they have set their companies on a trajectory for growth and scale.”

The 30-member cohort underwent six months of learning across seven areas which included safety, cybersecurity, quality, corporate policies, financials, technical capabilities and sustainability. Thanks to mentorship from Phillips 66 executives and others from across the industry, the graduates closed hundreds of business gaps and achieved an average 95% compliance rate against key international standards.

Paola Alvarado, President of CORE Boiler & Mechanical Services, LLC and recent Blue Wave graduate, said that the program has been a game-changer.

“We now have structured policies, stronger compliance and a clearer roadmap for growth,” she said.

Blue Wave alumni Libny Pineda, CEO of VEPIC Energy & Resources LLC, added that staying engaged with the community of like-minded professionals after graduation has provided ongoing access to new and emerging companies, cutting-edge technologies, and evolving industry trends, which allows him to stay competitive.

“The knowledge gained from this program can directly impact your success,” he said.

Phillips 66 first responders answer the call to help their community.
    • Phillips 66 ERT response: Nine members of the Phillips 66 Emergency Response Team (ERT) joined rescue workers to fight the California Palisades wildfires in January.
    • Community support and readiness: The company is committed to safety, preparedness and volunteerism, ensuring employees are ready to act in times of need.

More than 15,000 first responders contributed to fighting the recent Los Angeles wildfires, some of the most destructive in California’s history. Among them were nine firefighters from the Phillips 66 Los Angeles Refinery

“We relied on our training,” said Robert Diaz, a member of the refinery’s Emergency Response Team and a Marine Corp veteran. “By investing in our people, we maintain our skills and step up when the community is in need.”

As part of the company’s emergency response efforts, Phillips 66 volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to work alongside volunteer fire departments, spending 16 hours each quarter on training. Their focus underscores the core values of the company, chief among them safety.

Earlier this year, first responders from the company’s Rodeo Renewables facility joined regional emergency teams to contain a fire at PBF Energy’s Martinez Refining Company. And last year, emergency personnel from the company’s Borger Refinery helped fight the Panhandle fires in Texas, which burned over one million acres.

Located in Carson and Wilmington, California, the Los Angeles Refinery, or LAR, has a dedicated field services and emergency response team. As is the case with response teams at other Phillips 66 facilities, the LAR ERT maintains detailed emergency plans and trains on both firefighting and incident command.

That prepared them for the LA fires, which broke out on Jan. 7 with two major blazes, the Eaton and Palisades, scorching vast tracts of the city. The LAR first responders headed to the Palisades fire, where they joined an assembly of fire and rescue vehicles for an initial briefing.

“It felt like we were driving into hell,” said Richard Lopez, a six-year member of the team. “The coastline was unrecognizable,” Lopez said, recalling the ash-covered landscape and flames glowing over the Palisade hilltops as the team first arrived at the scene.

For several days, the team, including Joe Cucinotti, Francisco Lomeli, Jose Frausto, Lester Villanueva, Jared Beasley, Ruben Chaidez, and Eddy Oviedo, Robert Diaz and Richard Lopez, helped provide a steady supply of resources to the frontlines and monitored for flare-ups to prevent further wildfires.

  • Financial support: Phillips 66 is donating over $2 million to support STEM programs, including a $1 million gift to Project Lead the Way and a $1.1 million grant to ST Math.
    • Future-ready workforce: Investing in STEM education is key to cultivating talent that will tackle global energy challenges and drive innovation.

Phillips 66 is growing its support for STEM, committing over $2 million in total donations for two hands-on educational programs.

The company announced a $1 million gift to help with the expansion of the Project Lead the Way Gateway program, which uses collaborative academic activities to expose middle school students to careers in science, technology, engineering and math. The gift follows a $1.1 million grant to implement ST Math, a game-based learning program, for students in the Permian Basin.

“The customized learning from these programs will help students get the skills they need to become leaders in the workforce of the future,” said Courtney Meadows, Phillips 66 Social Impact Manager. “By supporting programs like Project Lead the Way and ST Math, we’re helping to build a  broader workforce in STEM fields.”

The two gifts are part of a larger educational outlay from Phillips 66 totaling $10 million in 2024, with additional support provided through employee matching and volunteer grants. Over the past five years, Phillips 66 has given approximately $50 million to education initiatives where it operates.

“Phillips 66 has long seen education as a way to create positive social change in our communities,” said Meadows. “We believe Project Lead the Way and ST Math, in addition to our other educational efforts, will result in real progress.”

The company’s collaboration with Project Lead the Way began in 2023 with an initial $1 million investment to support STEM curriculum in a number of states and cities. The recent $1 million donation will continue to expand the Gateway program’s reach within those areas beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.

The $1.1 million grant to ST Math will support the program’s implementation in the Ector County Independent School District, one of several school districts where the company funds the game-based program. The grant funded the program’s start-up, training, and implementation across all elementary, early learning, and prekindergarten campuses, as well as its STEM Academy.

“I haven’t seen a program that coincides so well with our current curriculum and helps enrich student learning,” said Jennifer Bizzell, principal at the district’s Reagan Magnet School. “It really excites me to see these students grow with ST Math.”

Said Bizzell, “We are creating lifelong learners that will eventually go into the workforce, and they may even become Phillips 66 employees.”

Inspiring the next generation in STEM fields is crucial to tackling global energy challenges. By investing in education, we’re not just preparing for the future but actively shaping a workforce ready to innovate and lead in solving tomorrow’s problems.

Phillips 66 announced that it is now the official fuel provider for Memorial Hermann Life Flight, gifting up to $1.5 million worth of fuel in 2025 to the critical care air medical transport service.

The donation to the Memorial Hermann Foundation will support the new Life Flight helicopter fleet, which is set to make its debut next year and is designed to expand services to a wider range of areas. The arrangement gives an opportunity for Phillips 66 to gift the same amount annually for the next five years.

“With this donation, we are putting our company’s mission of providing energy and improving lives into action,” said Zhanna Golodryga, executive vice president of Emerging Energy and Sustainability for Phillips 66 and Memorial Hermann Foundation board member. “Life Flight is a pillar of medical response, and we are thrilled to share our resources to support their life-saving work. Memorial Hermann is a leading health care provider, and as a leading integrated downstream energy provider, we are proud to collaborate with them for the greater good of our community.”

Phillips 66’s donation is equal to the amount of fuel the new Life Flight fleet will use each year. The fleet will include the first H160 helicopter in North America used for medical missions, which will expand Life Flight’s service radius from 150 miles to 250. The Phillips 66 name will also be displayed on one of the fleet’s helicopters and its shield will be on the John S. Dunn Helistop helipad at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.

“We are extremely fortunate that Phillips 66 sees how fundamental Memorial Hermann Life Flight is to saving lives in the Greater Houston Area,” said Anne Neeson, executive vice president and CEO of the Memorial Hermann Foundation. “It takes a tremendous amount of resources to ensure Memorial Hermann Life Flight operates efficiently for our community, and this generous fuel gift from Phillips 66 will enable this great community asset valued so highly by Houstonians.”

Memorial Hermann Life Flight crews perform more than 4,000 missions each year, making the hospital’s helipad one of the busiest in the world. Life Flight employs their own crews to ensure safety and quality with a staff of 21 pilots, 24 flight nurses, 12 paramedics, 10 dispatchers and 10 mechanics.

“As technology and helicopters advance, Life Flight is consistently looking ahead to ensure we are operating at the absolute best of our abilities,” said Tom Flanagan, Life Flight’s program director and internal consultant. “Life Flight’s new fleet is proof of that mission, and this generous gift from Phillips 66 helps to ease the transition with an abundance of fuel.”

The service has flown more than 166,000 critical care situations since its inaugural flight in 1976.

Phillips 66 drew up the latest play in its sponsorship strategy that aims to engage fans and energize lives, collaborating with its third professional football franchise in the Houston Texans.

The deal is another way the company is strategically leveraging sponsorships to enhance its brand visibility in key markets. The latest announcement adds to the company’s roster of gridiron agreements that include the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.

“Collaborating with these respected organizations integrates our brand with consumer passion points,” said Phillips 66 Brand Manager John Field. “These sponsorships reflect our commitment to these areas and create a positive association with Phillips 66. With a large presence in these markets, especially in Houston, we aim to engage authentically with local consumers.”

As part of the Texans agreement, Phillips 66 secured naming rights to the NRG Stadium Southeast Gate and is fueling the team’s mascot vehicle for community engagements. Additionally, a game day activation allows fans to create sports cards of themselves, promoting the Phillips 66 Fuel Forward™ App.

Phillips 66’s work with the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos has seen similar activations at a time when new company developments have unfolded in both regions.

In addition to the many branded sites in the Seattle and Denver areas, Phillips 66 commissioned charging stations in Washington in late 2023 and Colorado in early 2024 with the first 76®- and Conoco®-branded chargers, respectively.

“This sponsorship strategy is not just about logo placement,” said Field. “It showcases our dedication to providing energy and improving lives while enhancing our brand presence. We’re proud to be a part of the game day experience and look forward to providing great life experiences through affordable, reliable energy.”
